Fofo Gavua was born in Calgary, Alberta and raised between Ghana, West Africa and Toronto, Ontario.
After earning is Bachelor of Arts in Political Science at the University of Ghana, He decided to follow his
lifelong dream to be a filmmaker and enrolled at Vancouver Film School, where he believed he could be a step closer to mastering
the art of film and become a new, refreshing, creative voice in the film industry. At Vancouver film school he specialized in The Directing, cinematography and post production Key creative fields. He recently graduated from the film school and is working freelance in Toronto.
Fofo is one of the greatest African film makers in the making with a positive vision that would transform the spirit and paradigm of the African film industry. His background in Economics, Geography and Political Science at the undergraduate level, coupled by his upbringing between the two worlds of Africa and North America enriches his creative capacity. A living ancestor, Togbe Fofo Gavua is poised to work hard and leave a solid legacy for future generations of Africa’s film makers. Kindly encourage and support him positively to attain his dream.
